Since inception, our headquarters have been just outside of Minneapolis, currently in Maple Grove, Minnesota.

As the test industry has changed in recent times so, too has Circuit Check. In February of 2003 we acquired Southwest Test of Richardson, TX and all of their subsidiaries. The acquisition not only makes us the largest fixture supplier in North America but broadens our product line and diversity of supply and support locations.

We now have facilities in Massachusetts, California, Alabama and Texas as well as the “Flagship” in Minnesota. We can boast of a complete value line of test fixtures and related services as well as local support for our customers.

We believe in getting the job done right the first time. Approximately 30% of our employees are engineers. Fact is, we have the largest staff of mechanical engineers in our industry. We attract and retain good people. An added benefit of our low employee turnover is our seasoned, experienced workforce.

Our engineering experience has allowed us to stay ahead of the challenges posed by rapid miniaturization of consumer products. Components, connectors and test access points have shrunk to unimaginably small sizes. We are aggressively meeting those demands by engineering and fabricating test solutions that allow probing of micro vias or testing through connectors when conventional access in not possible.

We continue to develop unique proprietary tools to help us meet the combined challenge of quality engineering and aggressive customer timeframes. For example, we developed Fixture Design Assistant (FDA), a software program that translates our customer's electronic files into automated instructions for fixture fabrication. Ongoing updates to our FDA increase efficiency by facilitating automation of fixture design and fabrication.

Once our engineers have finalized their designs, a Quality Assurance Team reviews all the related data to assure accuracy of dimensions and to assure our customer's test requirements are being covered. The fixture base plates are machined on precision computer numerical-controlled driller/routers. We use the same machines that printed circuit boards are drilled on, since the drilling accuracy has a direct correlation to probe pointing accuracy. Circuit Check has the best Excellon machines available for this process and a tenured team of operators who know how to hold the tightest tolerances.

Precision metal parts are fabricated on 4- or 5-axis computer controlled vertical-machining centers. This process is closely monitored for accuracy. We are proud of our team of machinists and match them against any in the industry. They are the team that transforms the engineer's electronic design into real working parts.

Assembly and wiring are performed in parallel. With the use of computer automation, our wiring process ensures accuracy and integrity of the signal path. The signal wiring of each in-circuit test fixture is checked with a flying-probe Automated Verification System to insure an exact match of customer-supplied wire files. Even with automation, our electronic technicians stay busy with wiring of fixture controls, scanners, and customer supplied test boards. Assembly technicians are experts at reading design files and have a thorough understanding how each fixture is intended to operate. This experienced group of assemblers observes the test fixtures through its cycle of motion to guarantee the fixture is working as anticipated.

Final inspection is performed by our Quality Team prior to the fixture being carefully packaged for shipment anywhere in the world.
